Hot girl with a mop of curly hair was standing by the stage. My girlfriend invited me to see LP. I had no idea who this was, but I knew the venue in Costa Mesa. We got to the bar/club early, and I was watching the set-up process. That's when I saw the rad hair.
I walked up to her and gave her props on her cool do. She ruffled her hair and said, "It's a mess," but I thought that the look was fitting. This, I later found out, was the lead singer, L.P. The hair definitely was suitable, and after seeing her perform and sing her lungs out, appropriate. Rock Stars are cute when they're messy and unkempt.
L.P.'s video "Wasted" is on this video bar, but visit her website to listen to both of her Cd's from beginning to end. I recommend "Suburban Sprawl and Alcohol" in its entirety, after listening to "Perfect" on the "Heart-Shaped Scar" Album.
